I’m married!

I attempted to keep the news as covered up and on the down-low as possible, but thanks to my new wife everyone shall know. April 03 of 2009 me and my beautiful Jessica finally tied the knot. As per our distaste on the unnecessarily long process of planning, arrangements, and headaches we decided to just have a simple legal marriage in downtown Chicago. I was able to get the proper paperwork in and get off-base and out of class for Friday, and wake her up as a surprise early morning. As to my surprise the whole process of obtaining the license and having the legal ceremony wasn’t the typical hate-spree that you would endure at any time you’re visiting a public legal office, and the people were even remotely intelligent (and American). Having the opportunity to spend time with her for the weekend was absolutely amazing, even though it was too short (like always). I expect to be out of Great Lakes in July and she’ll graduate in November so it’ll be nice to have her come live with me on base and enjoy life.

Ive been visiting it since he’s had it…..and Im not even included in any future plans concerning his life. Thats ok, from now on Im free of any “you suck as a mother” guilt trips.

  3. fig Says:

    No you’re not.

I’m still starving from the lack of care packages I’ve gotten from you.

  4. Mom Says:

Ok, the guilt trips do in fact work both ways…especially after you send me those BEAUTIFUL flowers!
I owe ya, Al. So what would you like in these care packages?

  5. Mom Says:

Wow, sending flowers for Mother’s Day is such a ‘Big Boy’ thing to do. Kinda sad in a way, no one to organize and assign jobs for the Mother’s Day Breakfast in bed this year. It was a beautiful day, tho! And you were sorely missed!
