New Years with the USS Eisenhower guys

I have to give thanks to Danny and Ryan for throwing a few awesome parties to kick-off the new years and to spend before they deployed to the Gulf. A dozen cases of brew and a few dozen bottles of liquor as well as a stripper-pole in the living room made the experience quite memorable. I played DD so my buddies could enjoy their evenings, but I had an awesome time shooting shit with some interesting people and letting my buddies dig themselves into some holes with their ‘Oprah sessions’.
I received a comment on here in regards to my weather API, so I’ll be updating it to include a caching option by the end of the week (you’re welcome Ali). I’m also still diligently working on my Record Keeper and pretty close to finishing the main foundation to it and will be completing the first module and quite possibly the second and third modules by the middle of the month.

Finished with ISM

Finally finished my second c school and right back on holds until the 4th (ugh). Got my PO selectee stuff done and cert’d, now all I need is for the command to quit jerking me around and give me my crow already.

To pass my time i’ve been working on a little application that I hope to have in full-working condition before deployment. I’m dubbing it “RecordKeeper” and currently its still in heavy development stages. Its main reason for being is to allow people like me who use nothing but debit/credit cards to keep track on how much/what they’re spending money on. Its foundation is heavily based on modules (different sub-programs to allow for more functionality and usability of the program), so eventually I’d like to do some really useful additions to the program when the time allows.

I finally finished it!

Go RTFM is finally finished and live! I decided to change the whole aspect of the side and throw away the whole community-based submission bullshit I had planned up originally. Now its a simple developer tool to help the veterans sway the little guys to start reading the fucking manual. I’m still going around gathering languages and adding their online-documentation to my current list, so comment me some suggestions if you see a language that should be up there.

According to Sam and Jamie over at libble, Sam plans on stepping down and giving his position over to some one he trusts. From what I’ve heard I’m the first person to offer their hand in the pot for Sys Op and hopefully he’ll choose me. I’ve been working on libble (the old and the current gazelle system) since I’ve been a member, and I believe that with the change of Sys Op status will get the site gearing forward again, since Sam has recently taken on a busy life.
