Trips tracker update
I’ve been working towards calculating point-to-point latitude and longitude with position fixes I have on my maps (thefoundfaith.net) which was a bit more of a headache than I figured. Everything appears to be in working order with no bugs (yet). So give it a whirl!

St Patrick’s Day 2011
Its been a while since I’ve done one of these, a lot of shit has came and gone. I got back heavily into a real workout schedule and took up running again, getting close to being at my target weight and now switching to cutting up and getting stronger. My boat went into the dry docks at the beginning of February, which has left us working pretty long and consistent hours. However the first week of March I was informed that I was going to be temporarily assigned to the USS Boone (FFG-28) while they deploy on Southern Seas 2011. Yes, thats the same exact deployment I went on last year with my ship, however I was talking to a reliable source who informed me that we’ll be going to a few different ports and that all of the ports should be a bit better quality than the ones I went to the first time. It hasn’t been cleared yet if I’m staying there the whole deployment, but I’m planning on it.
With little spare time I’ve had recently I got back into downloading books and throwing them on my nook. I was completely unaware of Into the Wild, which pretty much fit in with what I see myself doing for a few years when I get out of the service. I’m still working through Moby Dick, I had an issue with it disappearing a while back and finally got it reloaded onto my nook. I’ve been in quite a binge in regards to traveling aimlessly and the open wild, so the following new additions to my library are only fitting:
Vagabonding
A Walk In The Woods
Mysteries of Easter Island
Two Years Before The Mast
A Criminal and An Irishman
Men need to remember to be men
I found some wise words of wisdom today, live by it:
Seriously.
Men stand for something.
In today’s society, we are all too quick to just go with it, forgetting that society was buiklt by men that refused to just go with it. Too few men nowadays will give up all of thier power for a quick piece of ass, even if she’s taken. That leaves you with the stereotype that had been perpetrated that all men will do anything for sex. Be stronger than your dick, for once. If a girl is taken, move on. If more men were to do this, women probably wouldn’t be able to sleep around as much because no man would sleep with another man’s woman. By doing this, all you’re accomplishing is producing more unfaithful women because they know that even if they cheat, no man will turn them down. If you didn’t know, and found out afterwards, act like she never existed. Tell their significant other, if you feel. Men look out for each other, and were not meant to be ruled by women.
Simple concept.
Cheating shouldn’t be accepted, yet in today’s society it is. Simple concept, though. If she’s acting sketchy, call her out on it. Tell her she won’t get a second chance. If she cheats, leave her. No woman would ever forget a man who did that.
Without the basis of trust, there is nothing.
And lastly, stop being so damn shy around women. They are no better than you are, unlike the media would have you to believe. Men created, or at least let happen, the westernized princess syndrome by letting women run over them. Be the exception to that rule. Be a man. Be yourself, and it a girl doesn’t like it, she doesn’t deserve you. So stand up straight, dress at least presentable and be confident. Grow a spine, and be the man that other men would be proud to know.
